Leadership Update: Stronger Together — A Message from Erin & April
ABC Head Start Society is pleased to share an important leadership update that reflects the strength of our team and our continued commitment to supporting children and families to thrive.
This fall, April Killins will officially return to ABC Head Start following a period of maternity leave. She will transition into a new leadership role with a reduced scope, allowing her to contribute strategically to the organization while also prioritizing time with her young family. In this position, April will oversee our research and evaluation portfolio — a critical area of work that will help us measure impact, guide continuous improvement, and share the powerful stories of change taking place every day across our programs.
At the same time, we are excited to announce that Erin Gobolos will continue on with ABC Head Start, as Chief Executive Officer. Over the past 14 months, Erin has led the organization through a period of growth and positive change. Her revised role will focus on risk management, governance, advocacy, strategic leadership, and long-term planning, ensuring consistency and stability as we move into our next chapter.
This thoughtful leadership transition allows ABC Head Start Society to retain the heart, experience, and expertise of both April and Erin. Together, they remain united in their care for the agency, their pride in what we are building, and their belief in the incredible work being done across our classrooms, programs, and communities.
