We believe that a successful program includes meaningful community and parent involvement. Volunteers represent various divisions of society, education, age and culture and are motivated to volunteer for various reasons; including a dedication to supporting children and families, a desire to give back to the community, and to fulfill education requirements.

  • Classroom participation and supervision

  • Administrative duties

  • Supporting events and community engagement fairs and activities

  • Lending your voice to record audio for children storybooks as part of the Multilingual Readers Project***

Throughout the year, over 250 volunteers commit their time to ABC Head Start Society, devoting over 8000 hours per year. Staff and Board members of ABC Head Start also contribute countless hours of unrecorded volunteer time.
