ABC Head Start is the largest head start program in the City of Edmonton. Our agency at this time is devoted to providing only Head Start programs. Currently we have 24 classrooms (within 5 schools & 1 commercial site) across the city. Each year we work with over 432 children and families at any given time.

 

ABC Head Start has classrooms & family programming at the following locations:

NORTH CAMPUS - located at Delwood School, 7315  Delwood Road.

Children who live in the catchment areas of Lorelei, Mee-Yah-Noh, St. Francis, St Alphonsus and Abbott will attend programming at the Delwood School Program Site. Please check the Boundary Map under the For Parents and Families section.

WEST CAMPUS - located at Lymburn School.

Children who live in the catchment areas of LaPerle, Lymburn and West View Village will attend programming at the West Campus located at Lymburn School. Please check the Boundary Map under the For Parents and Families section. There will be 4 classes: 2 classes in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. The Family Services Program has an office across from the classrooms.

BUSSING INFORMATION

If your child takes the bus and will not be attending program, please contact Southland Transportation Dispatch and report the absence to 780-466-9696 Ext 3.

We have a dedicated staff member to handle transportation. ABC Head Start provides an early learning program for children with comprehensive family support in multiple locations across the city of Edmonton. To qualify for the program your child must be at least 3 years, 6 months old by September 1st and your family must fall within our low income guidelines. There is no charge for the program. This spring we will be holding Registration Events across the City of Edmonton where we will be meeting children and families, processing applications and determining eligibility for the program. We are holding Registration Events during the spring for programming to start in September. Please see the For Parents and Agencies page of the website for details.
