Opening Doors for Children & Families

Early Learning and Child Care Centre

Happy Holidays

You are here

ABC Head Start Society is proud to announce that we have been selected as one of 22 Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Centres across Alberta.  We are excited to build on our 32 year history of providing pre-Kindergarten and family support services to children and families in Edmonton by expanding our early childhood services to include high quality and affordable child care.

The Early Learning and Child Care Centre will include improvements to affordability and access for children with diverse needs to high quality child care.  The program will use an evidence-based *child care curriculum framework. This program was developed by early learning and child care educators, early childhood academics, government, and professionals working in related fields. It is designed to foster improved early childhood development outcomes so your child can get the best possible start to life.

The program will include:

  • New child care spaces for children 19- 54 months,
  • Capped parent fees at $25/day,
  • Inclusive supports for children with diverse needs

We are working to finalize the location, opening date and application process.  Updates will be posted on our Facebook page and website.  Please continue to check for updates.  We are not taking applications or creating a waiting list at this time.

We are still accepting applications for our Head Start pre-Kindergarten program for the 2017-2018 school year for eligible children and families until the end of January 2018.
